One Community One Family Coalition (OCOF)

We’re dedicated to empowering the Elizabethport community.

The OCOF mission is to engage, advocate, inform, and bring awareness of substance use and misuse through education, prevention, enforcement, and action to build a safe and drug free community amongst our youth population. Our purpose is to promote systemic and community improvements for the benefit of youth and families in the Elizabethport community by working to reduce and eliminate illegal substance use.

Who We Are

One Community Family Coalition (OCOF) is made up of county leadership, law enforcement, educators, parents, youth, healthcare professionals, faith communities, media, municipal alliances, business professionals, civic and volunteer community organizations and individual members of the community.

Our Goals & Focus

The goal of our coalition is to strengthen and diversify community collaboration among local government, schools, parents, youth, serving organizations, law enforcement, religious, and fraternal groups, healthcare and substance abuse treatment agencies, civic and volunteer groups. Through this collaboration, we are able to:

– Promote the factors that minimize the risk of substance use.

Currently, our main two focuses are underage drinking and cannabis use.

We work with the following sectors to carry out our mission:

Youth-Serving Organizations

Religious & Fraternal Organizations

Civic & Volunteer Groups

Healthcare Professional & Organizations

State, Local, and Tribal Government Agencies

Other Local Organizations Reducing Substance Use

The Drug-Free Communities (DFC) Support Program is the nation’s leading effort to mobilize communities to prevent and reduce substance use among youth. Created in 1997 by the Drug-Free Communities Act, administered by the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP), and managed through a partnership between ONDCP and CDC, the DFC program provides grants to community coalitions to strengthen the infrastructure among local partners to create and sustain a reduction in local youth substance use.
