Raymond J. Lesniak ESH Recovery High School

An out-of-district placement school serving the northern region of New Jersey, ESH Recovery High School is a safe, supportive environment that combines common core aligned education with substance use disorder recovery support.

Studies conducted by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) have identified the major life challenges that students face while trying to recover from substance use disorders. The largest among these is re-entry into school: “For teenagers, school often sits at the heart of relapse.”

ESH assists students and their families through:

• an integrated curriculum
• peer support
• family programs 
• counseling 
• understanding of the unique challenges that adolescents face in recovery. 

Low student-to-staff ratio, on-site recovery support services, and our emphasis on positive peer connections enable our students to remain clean and sober and to graduate from high school.

There is no cost to families and students are accepted on a case-by-case basis.
