Dear Friends,

We always say “it never rains on Red Ribbon Day.”

And most years, that’s true.

But here’s the honest truth: once, it did rain.

A lot.

There were giant puddles all over the park.

My son Alex (pictured above) was just three years old at the time,

and instead of being disappointed,

he had the absolute best day splashing and jumping in those puddles.

By the end of the event the sun came out,

and it turned into one of those beautiful,

memorable days that we still talk about.

That’s the magic of Red Ribbon Day.

Whatever the weather, it’s always a good day.
