Every year, Red Ribbon Day reminds me of what is possible when a community chooses to stand together. On Saturday, October 11th at Nomahegan Park in Cranford, we’ll gather for the 27th Annual Red Ribbon Day—a walk and celebration that has grown into one of the most powerful traditions in our region.

What makes it powerful isn’t the size of the crowd or the fun of the festival (though those are wonderful, too). It’s the message we send when we show up together: that we will not give up on prevention, that recovery is real, and that hope belongs to everyone.
