Union County Prevention Hub

The statewide system of Prevention Hubs provides evidence-based prevention education, interventions, strategies, and programs to support all sectors of our community, including youth, parents, schools, law enforcement, faith-based organizations, etc.

The Prevention Hub of Union County is hosted by Prevention Links and connects residents and professionals with prevention resources and services, building resilience in our local communities.

Health & Wellness Coalition (HAWC)

Our Health and Wellness Coalition (HAWC) brings together concerned community members across different sectors throughout Union County to assess county-wide prevention needs, develop and implement strategies based on those needs, and evaluate the impact of those strategies.

Family members, law enforcement, professionals and other community members are encouraged to join to help further our reach.

One Community One Family Coalition (OCOF)

One Community Family Coalition (OCOF) is made up of county leadership, law enforcement, educators, parents, youth, healthcare professionals, individual members of the community and more.

Our purpose is to promote system and community improvements for the benefits of youth and families in the Elizabethport community by working to reduce and eliminate illegal substance use.

Elizabethport Community Center

The Elizabethport Community Center, in partnership with Housing Authority of the City of Elizabeth,  high quality programs, services, and facilities which act as a catalyst for positive youth development and a stronger community.

The Center empowers people of all ages to be actively involved in the community through involvement in educational, recreational, self-sufficiency opportunities and professional development.

School-Based Prevention

Prevention Links offers school-based prevention programs for grades K-12. All of these programs are evidence-based and tailored to the population and grade level being served. Prevention programs work to boost protective factors and eliminate or reduce risk factors for substance use.

Community Education & Awareness

Substance misuse and addiction is a threat across the lifespan, and Prevention Links implements targeted outreach programs which are open to the community in order to educate residents and raise awareness about current drug trends and enhance protective factors to keep our communities safe.
